Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
City Kidz Playhouse’s founding principles are centered around equal access and inclusion, and these are continuous driving forces in how we make decisions and engage with our community. We recognize that City Kidz Playhouse is situated within one of the most diverse cities in our nation, however, the performing arts are not always representative of such diversity. It is our mission to take an otherwise expensive art form to immerse oneself in, and provide programming that is high-quality yet affordable to participate in.
As an arts organization, City Kidz Playhouse is predicated on the human traits of empathy, collaboration, and creativity. We place high value in fostering an environment where diverse voices are heard and respected. This includes the staff and artists we employ, our board members, and community members. Anyone who wishes to engage with our programming will be able to do so, free from biased or degrading conduct.
City Kidz Playhouse does not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, family/parental status, income, employment status, or any other characteristics protected by law.
